Leo Theo (* November 11, 1980, in Göppingen, Region of Stuttgart; born Leonidas Theodoridis) is a Greek textile artist, costume designer, author, and publisher. He is renowned for his handmade unique pieces for international musical performers, theater productions, as well as film and television formats. He publishes his literary, musical, and multimedia works predominantly under the pseudonym Sadinoel.
Early life Leo was born in Göppingen, Region of Stuttgart and raised in Germany as a child of a Greek guest-worker family of the first and second generation. Following his graduation from both the German and Greek schools, he returned to Greece in 1999. He completed his studies in Nursing at the TEI Epirus in Ioannina, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Art Therapy, and fulfilled his mandatory military service.
He began his artistic career as a self-taught creator through an unconventional path: selling his first handmade designs, including bags and accessories, in public squares and bazaars across Greece. This phase of direct interaction with the public continues to shape his preference for haptic, detail-oriented handiwork, far removed from industrial fashion manufacturing. Since 2010, he has operated under the name leo • theo. His work focuses on creating unique textile pieces that are artisanally positioned at the intersection of object art and high fashion. In 2012 he developed independent techniques and a patent for "bleans" (specialized jeans finishing) and upcycling concepts like the "Hold me tied" backpacks made from vintage ties. He is also well known for his headpieces. As a costume designer, he has been responsible for the wardrobe of over 30 productions. Film & TV: The experimental short film 13 Strokes... (2023, listed on IMDb), Ioannina Vampire (2001), as well as TV formats such as The Voice Of Greece (2018), The Final4 (2019), Rouk Zouk (2025), and Real View (2025). From 2000 to 2002, he co-hosted the entertainment TV-magazine Blue-Box on the regional channel of Ioannina IRT alongside Ioulia Lymperopoulou.
